18 km from the city center (Located at the summit of Son Tra Peninsula, ~700m elevation). Perched at the highest point of Son Tra Peninsula, Chessboard Peak is famous for a stone statue of an immortal sage sitting thoughtfully at a chessboard. The scenic winding drive leads to sweeping 360-degree views of Da Nang city, its bridges, and the vast ocean horizon.
