My name is Cuilian—“the lotus among lotuses.” I was born in 2003 and am currently a senior at Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology, majoring in Chinese with a focus on Business Chinese. Thanks to my strong communication skills, I had the opportunity to work as a tour guide. Because I need to concentrate on my studies, my time in this role has been limited, but I’ve gained invaluable experience—especially in efficient time management and handling emergencies. I haven’t graduated yet; I attend classes half‐days each week and spend my remaining time working for a Taiwanese travel company.
As a senior majoring in Chinese, I may not have extensive guiding experience, but I have been fortunate to participate and accumulate valuable insights. Currently, I serve as an Operations Officer at a Taiwanese travel agency, where I coordinate with restaurant partners, handle group bookings, budget guide fees for entire itineraries, monitor tours, and provide emergency support. In cases of urgent situations, I assist the guide and ultimately compile a trip report. I manage 15 to 20 tour groups each month, some as far away as Phu Quoc Island or other parts of Ho Chi Minh City. Through these responsibilities, I’ve gained deep knowledge of the city’s major attractions and extensive information on specialty restaurants—helping clients enjoy a diverse culinary experience during their travels.
My guiding style is always infused with enthusiasm and focuses on vividly sharing local cultural and historical insights, enabling tourists not only to explore but to gain a deeper understanding of the land and people of Vietnam.
