Tour Overview

Since its establishment in 1999, Vàm Sát Mangrove Ecological Tourism Zone has been affiliated to Phu Tho Tourism Service Company. It is rich in mangrove plants, such as samphire, seaweed, water pine, tamarind, palm, etc., as well as a variety of terrestrial and aquatic animals. It is an ideal place for tourists to sightsee, explore nature and relax.
The site was recognized as Vietnam's first biosphere reserve by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on January 21, 2000, and became the 368th member of the World Biosphere Reserve in 91 countries around the world.
In July 2002, this place was selected as one of the most sustainable and beautiful eco-tourism areas in the world (one of the 65 globally recognized tourist areas) by the World Tourism Organization (WTO).

bird sanctuary
From April to October every year is the nesting season for migratory birds. During this period, more than 20,000 birds gathered here, covering 26 different species, including some rare birds listed in the **Red Book (List of Endangered Species)**, such as skeletal cranes, pelicans, giant storks, etc. On these days, the Vàm Sát ecotourism area is bustling with activity, with thousands of waterbirds circling in the sky, a spectacular sight as if the entire sky is covered with bird wings.
Tang Bồng Pagoda
Tang Bồng Tower is 26 meters high and stands in the core area of Vàm Sát eco-tourism area. It is a watchtower with both scenic and symbolic significance. Climbing to the top of the tower, you will have a panoramic view of the magnificent natural landscape of the entire mangrove biosphere reserve. The mangroves, rivers, water birds, distant water and skyline form a vivid natural picture.
bat sanctuary
VIPs will take a boat or speedboat to the fruit bat sanctuary, which was officially recognized by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in 2002. Here, the staff will row boats and lead guests through the picturesque mangroves and visit the spectacular fruit bat habitat in depth.

Vam Sat Ecological Area Day Trip
Depart for Vam Sat at about 8:00, enjoy a rich lunch, and start the tour. This itinerary will take you to an in-depth visit to the Can Gye mangrove forest, which is listed as Vietnam's first biosphere reserve by UNESCO. Follow the Rừng Sác and Lý Nhơn roads to the Gốc Tre reception station. Along the way, you can enjoy the magnificent scenery of the mangroves and observe local production activities such as aquaculture, sun salting and swiftlet houses. Then proceed to the bird sanctuary, which attracts more than 20,000 birds during the breeding season from April to October every year, including rare species listed in the Red Book. Then visit the crocodile sanctuary, experience the "crocodile fishing" game for yourself, and get close to a group of wild long-tailed monkeys. The itinerary also includes climbing to the 26-meter-tall Tang Bồng Tower to overlook the panoramic view of the entire mangrove forest. How far in advance do I need to book this trip?
