Travel Highlights

Hanoi Cathedral

St. Joseph's Cathedral, also known as Hanoi Cathedral, is located in the center of Hanoi. It was built in 1886 during the French colonial period and was modeled after Notre Dame de Paris. It adopts Gothic architecture and is said to be modeled after Notre Dame de Paris. It is also a representative "French" building in Hanoi. It has an elegant and solemn appearance and is open to the public for free visit during the day. It is a popular attraction in Hanoi.

Water puppet show

>Thang Long Water Puppet Theater is located near the ancient street and Hoan Kiem Lake. It is very convenient to visit the surrounding attractions after watching the performance. This is a great activity to add to a day trip, allowing visitors to experience Vietnam’s culture and traditional arts in depth. The performance takes place on the water, with puppets controlled by operators, accompanied by music and stories, showing Vietnamese folklore and daily life.

Hoan Kiem Lake

On the way, I admired Hoan Kiem Lake in the car. Hoan Kiem Lake is located in the city center and is surrounded by the downtown area of Hanoi. Almost all high-end hotels are concentrated here. The lakeside is green with green grass and the water is clear and very beautiful. Legend has it that in the mid-15th century, Le Taizu received the help of the divine sword to repel the invasion of the Chinese army. After the war, Le Taizu was visiting Hoan Kiem Lake. Suddenly he saw a big turtle emerging from the water and asking for his sword, so it was named Hoan Kiem Lake. There is a three-story turtle tower in the lake to commemorate this legend.

Fish Plate (Cha ca La Vong)

This dish originated at the end of the 19th century and was created by the Doãn family. It later became famous for entertaining people with patriots of the national movement. The word "Lã Vọng" originally refers to the ancient Chinese celebrity Lu Wang (Jiang Ziya), which symbolizes patience and wisdom, hence the name of the restaurant. It starts with >Tender fish meat Marinate with spices and fry, then add Chives, dill, rice noodles Enjoy it together, it is a classic dish with full color, fragrance and flavor.

Egg Coffee

was invented in the 1940s. Due to the shortage of milk at that time, Nguyễn Văn Giảng, a bartender at the Sofitel Metropole Hotel in Hanoi, came up with the idea of using egg yolk mixed with condensed milk to replace the milk foam. He successfully created a smooth and dense golden top layer, which not only solved the problem but also tasted amazing.

Yushan Temple

>Ngoc Son Temple is located on Hồ Hoàn Kiếm in the center of Hanoi. It is an important ancient building connecting the island in the center of the lake. It is accessible through the famous red wooden bridge "Cầu Thê Húc" and is one of the must-see attractions for tourists visiting Hanoi. Built in the 14th century and later renovated and rebuilt in the 19th century, Ngoc Son Temple was built to commemorate the Vietnamese national hero Trần Hưng Đạo, the writer Emperor Wen Chang and the medical sage Liu Zu. Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhist beliefs are integrated here, showing the diverse characteristics of Vietnam's traditional religious culture.

Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum

The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is a memorial building built by the Vietnamese people to commemorate the founding father of the country, President Ho Chi Minh. It is located in Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi and is one of the most important historical landmarks in the country. The mausoleum was officially opened to the public in 1975. It was inspired by Lenin's tomb. Its appearance is solemn and simple, with gray granite as the main body, showing stability and respect. Visitors can enter to pay respects to the body of President Ho Chi Minh. The quiet and solemn atmosphere makes people deeply feel the Vietnamese people's respect for the leader. There are also Ho Chi Minh's former residence, stilt houses, museums, etc. around the mausoleum area that can be visited together to fully understand President Ho Chi Minh's life and thoughts.
